An antique Persian Sultanabad oriental carpet, size 23'0" x 16'0", circa 1890. This handsome handwoven decorative rug features a repeating large-scale palmettes design in the deep blue central field. The crisp red border enhances the color and design of the inner area, giving the overall piece an amazing aesthetic effect, with its combination of jewel tones and casual motifs. Short wool pile.
